Dr. Avelino

Dr. Verdadero joined our team of veterinarians in the winter of 2023.

Growing up in the small farming town of Nueva Ecija in the Philippines, Dr. Verdadero helped his family raise pets and livestock, including goats and carabao (local buffalo). Veterinary care in the community is sparse, however, but it helped Dr. Verdadero to realize that he wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. In 2013, Dr. Verdadero graduated from Central Luzon State University with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Husbandry and shortly thereafter, with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2016.

Fun fact: Dr. Verdadero once did a spay & neuter mission and, as the lone veterinary surgeon, fixed (spayed or neutered) approximately 300 patients in 8 days!!

In his field of work, Dr. Verdadero enjoys being able to see patients go home happy and healthy 🙂

When not helping out our animal friends, Dr. Verdadero enjoys scuba diving, hiking, trail running, road biking, camping and a variety of outdoor sports. Being able to volunteer is also very important to Dr. Verdadero and he ensures to do so at least once a year.
