Dr. Taam, originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, joined our team of veterinarians in the summer of 2023.

Coming from a family of human doctors as well as being passionate about medicine and animals, Dr. Taam found her calling as a veterinarian. With all the different species of animals she can provide care for and learn about as well as the diverse career fields within veterinary medicine and being able to interact with clients, Dr. Taam can simply not see herself doing anything else.

A 2013 graduate from the Federal Fuminense University (in Brazil), Dr. Taam also completed 2-year MBA courses in internal medicine and small animal oncology.

On days off Dr. Taam can be found practicing yoga and acroyoga or doing almost any outdoor activity – she is always looking for a new challenge! She is the proud pet parent to Malika, a toy poodle, and Rurik, a Shetland Sheepdog.
